NYU Wagner and the Stern School of Business

The Wagner School and the NYU Stern School of Business offer a dual-degree program for students to earn the Master of Public Administration and the Master of Business Administration within three years of full-time study. The program allows students who are interested in both public service and business administration to pursue an integrated and comprehensive course of study.

Students in the program enroll full-time, taking courses within the MPA (44 credits) and MBA (51 credits) program concurrently and completing the dual-degree program in three years. Students chose a specialization area within NYU Wagner's Public and Nonprofit Management and Policy program, or the Health Policy and Management program.

Beyond the Classroom:
Cross-Professional Series (XPS)

Open Society Institute's president, Aryeh Neier introduced by Dean Ellen Schall

This speaker series offers students in Wagner's Executive and Professional Dual-Degree programs a unique opportunity to hear from leaders in fields and careers that span the sectors. The series is an intimate seminar-style experience with an accompanying reception where students are able to maximize opportunities to engage with colleagues across disciplines, and to enhance those important connections.

Advisement

An important aspect of the dual-degree academic experience is the extensive, tailored, and coordinated advisement support. Students will work with advisors from both schools to carefully choose coursework that takes into consideration their unique academic and professional goals. The many sources of advisement that each school has to offer includes faculty advisors, offices of career services, program administrators, and peer advisors.

Students leave the dual-degree program well supported and equipped with the frameworks and analytical skills that will serve them well in the complex and changing intersection of sectors and roles their careers may span.

Admissions

Applicants are required to apply to each school. Once admitted to both schools, a student will qualify for the dual-degree program.

Scholarships

Pursuing a graduate dual-degree is an investment in the future and a serious commitment of time and money. All dual-degree applicants are eligible to apply for scholarships and funding.
